Weymouth Beach

The main beach located at Weymouth town centre. Only available between October 1st and May Day bank holiday. The beach is a mixture of sand and shingle. Weymouth beach has shallow water.

  • Activity: Kitesurfing Level 3+.
  • Works best: North East thru South East.
  • To be avoided: Offshore winds.

Control Measures

  1. All Kitesurfers to read Club constitution
  2. Ensure beach area is clear of all persons and animals when launching and landing.
  3. Ensure kite seaward when launching.
  4. Launch at sandy side of Pier Bandstand.
  5. Be aware and give consideration to other water users especially swimmers due to lack of visibility on water.
