Portland Harbour Permits

Portland Harbour Permits will be obtained via filling out an application form downloaded from the WPKSC website only (the club will act as a point of reference between kiters and the harbour authority). Permit options available through WPKSC will be in the form of an ‘ANNUAL’ or ‘SUMMER’ permit (‘DAY’ permits will be obtained from WINDTEK or PARACADEMY only). These will be available to anyone who has valid insurance (regardless of club membership or not), and they will be asked to sign a declaration in order to obtain one.

‘ANNUAL’ PERMIT

The ‘ANNUAL’ permit will run from 1st January to 31st December.

The Permit will will be robust enough for a year and will have ‘ANNUAL’ kitesurfing permit and the EXPIRY date clearly printed onto it, similar to the above image.

The permit colour will change at the end of each year.

The permit is open to anybody who has valid insurance (not just club members as before)

These will be applied for via an application form through the club where the individual will be asked to sign saying they’ll have valid insurance for the duration of the permit, and will be responsible if there insurance runs out before.

Applicant’s details will be recorded and a tag issued. If the individual applied in June, the tag is still only valid until Dec 31st.

Payment will via cash or cheque for £15.

‘SUMMER’ PERMIT

The ‘SUMMER’ permit will be valid from 1st April to 31st October yearly.

The Permit will be robust enough for a year and will have ‘SUMMER’ kitesurfing permit and the VALID date clearly printed onto it, similar to the above image.
