Club speed boards now available to use

The club is now a proud owner of two asymmetric speed boards and a GPS. Thanks to the ongoing support of members over the years, the club has managed to squirrel away some membership fees for a rainy day, and commissioned Rich Fabbri to make the latest designs. He is well known at the beach and his creative touch with specialist board making skills is outstanding. We were delighted when Richard agreed to make them and we are all excited to see what top speeds can be reached with them.
They are available to borrow from Windtek where Nick (shop manager) has kindly offered to store them.

Please note - they are for paid up club members only and you will need to show your up to date membership as proof. Please deliver the board back to Windtek the same day. The boards are designed for riding at flat out speeds well in excess of any TT in one direction only, port or starboard as per conditions on the day. You can limp back up wind but you must be powered up at the top end of your kite's capacity. Please do not go out with a speed board in marginal conditions or if you are incompetent at going upwind. Rich is pleased to give advice and tuition if needed but please does not underestimate getting back upwind and when you’re at full speed, the stopping distance and method for slow down is crucial. At max warp sending your kite to 12 o'clock will not slow you down quickly, so be aware.

Small print; if you lose it, please replace it. They cost £400 each...
